Los grupos que defienden los derechos de los inmigrantes en Estados Unidos multiplican acciones de cabildeo en el Congreso para pedir a los senadores que introduzcan modificaciones al proyecto de ley de reforma migratoria que resolvieron comenzar a debatir el lunes.

Algunas de estas agrupaciones organizaron este martes un evento en salas del Congreso para pedir cambios al proyecto, menos de 24 horas despu?de que el Senado abriera formalmente el debate sobre una iniciativa de ley que es producto de un acuerdo de democratas y republicanos, con apoyo de la Casa Blanca.

Becoming an Endorsing Entity is an easy way to show your support for the National Latino Congreso. (Entity can be an elected official's office, non-profit organization, business, union, religious institution or network interested in endorsing the 2007 Latino Congreso.)

As an Endorsing Entity, you will have the following benefits:

Be listed as an endorser of the National Latino Congreso for promotional and other advertising materials

Should you choose to register and pay the attendance fee, Endorsing Entities will have the following additional benefits:

Have the option to participate in Commission meetings to plan specific days of the Congreso Have the right to one voting delegate and ten observers present at the National Latino Congreso

You can submit speaker's names and topic suggestions for consideration.You can volunteer time to assist in laying the groundwork for the National Latino Congreso by offering speaker contacts, arranging for materials, or helping to staff the event.


Please list your formal organization name, rather than an acronym. For example, "William C. Velasquez Institute" instead of "WCVI"
