Whereas no new mining, milling and production of uranium; and

Whereas before any consideration of any new nuclear development, all sites need to be cleaned up; and

Whereas a UN supervised body be established to review and give international attention to the impacts of our sustainable life styles , planting, water, health and animals etc; and

Whereas the whole cycle of nuclear generation is not green, nor clean from mining the uranium to decommissioning the plants, nuclear power stations would produce around 50% more greenhouse gas emissions than wind energy;

1. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the organizations represented by delegates of the 2010 National Latino Congreso calls for a moratorium on the development of any new nuclear facilities.
